UK Election 2015
We tend, in the so called Western World, to take our vote rather casually. In fact, it is too often the case that the turnout at the polls is woeful.
People love to complain about the government, but when it actually comes down to making that quick stop by the polling station, we find ourselves too busy or simply too lazy to bother.
This is complacency, and is a sad trend in our society. The excuse, all too often, is that one vote won’t make a difference, or that all the candidates are useless anyway. So why bother.
The reason why we should bother is this:
While we consider the ability to vote (ie have a say in who governs us) is our right, it is also a privilege. Remember that there are many millions living under circumstances and in countries where they get absolutely NO say.
When the average, reasonable man and woman don’t bother to get involved, that is when the lunatic fringe starts to gain strength.

So the message:
People of the UK – if you haven’t done so already, get yourself off the settee, and go and exercise your right to decide who runs the country! And if you don’t – and you don’t like the election outcome – then you have only yourself to blame!
