Christmas Joy
How bright the Christmas lights
Oh, I enjoy every single one
Little elves are sparkling
So busy and on the run
Santa Claus and sleigh
Dazzling in the dark
A beautiful assortment
At homes or in the park
Brilliance across the water
Little soldier standing guard
Tree tall and magnificent
Such activity in the yards
There is stillness in the air
With the icy winter weather
Amidst the sparkling lights
At Christmas as we gather
So take that holiday stroll
Or drive around your town
There is happiness everywhere
Christmas joy is spread around!

Countryside
Cruising through the country side
Breathing country air
Old barns have given up the ghost
But you know, the charm’s still there.
Might see a cow ‘long side the road
A sheep herd passing through
Cowboys riding on horseback
Herd dogs are barking too.
Open space and dreams undone
Keep calling out to me
The history and the beauty
Are there for us to see.

Christmas Decorations
Nothing puts me in the holiday mood
As much as Christmas decorations
Festive and cheerful everything is
For this wonderful celebration
Santa Claus of every style and shape
And trees so gloriously bright
All decked out in their holiday best
To sparkle on Christmas night
Little dolls depicting carolers
Or perhaps the three wise men
We discover the little child in us
As we’re transported once again
I love so much the old fashioned
Decorations that go back when
The style so different than today
You wonder where they have been
I know you’ll enjoy the festivities
In your town and in your house
It doesn’t really last long enough so
Enjoy it with your kids and spouse!
