RIP – Clive Rice
RIP the iconic figure in South African cricket – Clive Rice.
Clive Rice was at his peak in the days of sporting isolation for South Africa, but he is still held up as a true ambassador for the sport, and will be sorely missed.
He captained the national team, but also played with great success for Nottinghamshire, captaining the club from 1979 to 1987.
By the time he ended his first class cricket career, he had a batting average of 40.95.
RIP
