Incredible Autumn
While traveling across the country
You see trees of all different kinds
And when autumn is the season
It’s the most delicious time
You see the shades of autumn
Like a bright canvas of an artist
You must have your camera ready
Just perfect for a photo quest
That’s what happened the other day
I was out for a leisurely drive
Fields adorned with horses
So happy that I had arrived
You know, I think they realized
It is a wonderful time of year
A crispness of autumn in the air
They didn’t seem to have a fear
The air so delightfully fresh
With sun on the crispy land
It’s such an enjoyable time
Both for beast and man
So enjoy this time of year
Wherever you may live
For nature is changing colors
We must savor what it has to give!

Golden Season
Far too soon autumn to wish us goodbye
You could have stayed longer in two thousand and nine.
Why have you travelled the opposite way?
How mean of you autumn to leave us this way.
The whirlwind of winter flies over the Bay
And without autumn weather, the skies are so grey.
We have no umbrellas for freezing cold rain,
So we need your sweet sunshine and your gentle refrain.
Much too soon this year, to say your goodbye,
Stay here a little longer in two thousand and nine.

A Villa With Few Rooms
a villa with few rooms
rustic to the root and core
will I perching over a hill
want where the cool autumn comes to rest itself
and
where the cool autumn comes to rest itself
a fragrance strange abounds hangs all around
the air is wholesome like baking bread
or mutton or pudding:
the heart pumps blood serene
hate flees away invisible
and there is happiness
and
though the cool autumn comes to rest itself
in this agreeable place and home
yet
some-time yearn I too
for a long winter full of drizzling rain
morning and afternoon
then as the red dusk sets
thunder and lightning’s long fingers
over the hills above the village small
can I see, I want to see
from the casement as rain half-blinds
half-obstacles the view.
And then
The chill of the thunder-clap
The thrill in every marrow
I want to feel
And feeling this I feel
The richest and the happiest in this world.
Awhile the cool autumn cometh to rest itself.

In A Minute Autumn
an autumn isn’t only
golden and yellow leaves,
heated in the summer
sweet fruits juices and honey.
an autumn, it still
a sore throat, tiring,
a fever, and influenza,
and shivers.
an autumn is waiting
for the winter
a spring
for the summer
on it
what the time will bring
what for us the fate
has in the gift

Flying Autumn Leaves
Listen to the soft whisper of the Autumn breeze
And the cracking sound of the sunshine
Follow the leaves falling one by one
And enjoy the chilly morning
That brings freshness in the sky
That is misty and hazy
Enjoy the enchanted land that is full of light
With fiery yellow, orange, red and brown
Walk on the lovely road
That is filled with orange leaves
And absorb the crispness of the air
Amid the flying Autumn leaves
Look at the bare branches swaying to and fro
Against the wind and the cool breeze
As if trying to reach the far horizon
To touch the hazy blue sky
Play with the rainbow colors
Of the flying Autumn leaves
And hold on to hope that is filled in the air
Spreading its show of magic
And painting to light up life’s landscape
With fiery yellow, orange, red and brown
